FGD PIONIR: UIN Malang Ready to Prepare Creative Team

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – A good preparation is done by UIN Malang to welcome the ninth Week of Science, Sports, Arts, and Research (PIONIR) in 2019. This campus is going to be the host of the biennial event belonging to the Ministry of Religions. Focus Group Discussion (FDG) held for three days in Rumah Singgah Pascasarjana (18 – 20/10/2018).

FDG was attended by the leaders of PTKIN, such as the rectors, vice rectors, and the vice dean in students departments, as well as the sub-directorate head of Infrastructure and Students Affairs of Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs.

The Rector of UIN Malang, Prof. Dr. Abdul Haris, M. Ag., emphasized the urgency of FGD to all the participants. He wanted that there would be a creative and brilliant idea that could be shown in PIONIR. “I hope the idea could be used to make PIONIR go better,” he continued.

Meanwhile, the sub-directorate head of Infrastructure and Students Affairs of Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, Syafriansyah, appreciated the effort of UIN Malang to hold FGD along with the leaders of PTKIN for the sake of PIONIR in 2019. He wanted to discuss all the details, such as the judges, location, accommodation, and the official opening of the event.

The team also expected a creative team that could make the event merrier. “PIONIR could be a medium for the campus to do a promotion in the national level,” said the Rector of UIN Malang. (*)
