The report published in the Journal of Nutrition, said that consumption of instant noodles can cause heart problems, especially for women.
The report is based on research results in South Korea, the country with the highest consumption of instant noodles in the world. The study was conducted on 10,700 women aged of 19-64 years.
As a result, women who consume instant noodles will experience metabolic syndrome, including the risk of obesity, high blood pressure, cholesterol, high sugar of blood, and an increased risk of heart disease and diabetes. Even more concerning, this problem actually attacks more women than men.
As reported by Tempo, women who eat instant noodles at least twice a week have a 68 percent higher risk of experiencing metabolic problems.
The high sodium content in instant noodles is considered to be a major cause of health problems. In order not to be at high risk of heart disease, you should limit the amount of instant noodles consumption.
Eating instant noodles once or twice a month doesn't matter. But if you often eat it in a week, that's the problem. In addition to limit the amount of consumption, you should also pay attention to the correct way of cooking so that it is not too risky for the health of the body. (*)
