TIMESINDONESIA, JAKARTA – Haj pilgrims Candidate (JCH) of course will bring some provisions on their luggage to the Holy Land. But, they must pay attention to the rule to bring it. If they don't, Kemenag RI (Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia) can make foreclosures.

From a number of rigorous checks on JCH bags and luggage that will be dispatched, Indonesian Haj Management Committee (PPIH) and Immigration authorities will confiscate various items belonging to the congregation because of a number of reasons.

According to PPIH officers, the pilgrim's properties should not carry more than the maximum limit of 100 ml. Most confiscated items are moisturizing creams, gels, toothpaste, soy sauce, cooking oil and other liquids that are on their luggage above 100 ml or 100 mg.

In addition, other dangerous items of explosive tube perfume, knives, pliers and scissors will be confiscated. Including objects that contain magnets, fruits or odor objects such as durian, shrimp paste, etc.

In this case, pecel sauce is prohibited because it contains bacteria that can interfere with the health of other congregation. While, powerbank is allowed to be brought by pilgrims only under 25 thousand mAh.

The purpose action from the Religious Affairs Ministry is to limit the liquid and food products that JCH will carry on the international flight cabin baggage. All containers of products fewer than 100 ml must also fit into a transparent plastic bag that can be closed. (*)
