TIMESINDONESIA, LOMBOK – While keep on building some infrastructures to support tourism - such as hotel and Kuta Beach Park, Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) will also build a MotoGP circuit inside Special Economic Zones (SEC) Mandalika.
I Gusti Lanang Bratasuta, the General Affair of SEC Mandalika, said in the media meeting event at Hotel Santika, Mataram, Friday (29/6/2018) that the construction plan of international MotoGP circuit in the area of SEC Mandalika is progressed as expected.
According to him, to consolidate the construction of MotoGP circuit, a team from Vinci Construction Grand Projects, France has been visiting the area of SEC Mandalika for several times.
"Several days ago, the team from Vinci has come to discuss the consolidation," said Bratasuta.
Further explained, Vinci Construction Grand Projects (VCGP), an international company based in France is currently finishing some construction preparations, such as doing the feasibility study and completing other requirements to build a circuit.
For the information, Vinci is really serious to investing in SEC Mandalika, especially to construct MotoGP Cicruit. The total investment of this company is estimated to be up to 600 million USD, equal to IDR 6.5 trillion.
Besides constructing open MotoGP circuit in SEC Mandalika, Vinci also invests in several hotels construction inside the area of SEC Mandalika.
Bratasuta said, the existence of MotoGP circuit will be a magnet for the tourists. It is because one event of MotoGP race is estimated to invite ten thousands of audience from around the globe.
"Of course, with the existence of this MotoGP circuit, the increase of tourist numbers in Mandalika will be very high," he said. (*)
