Pertamina to Ensure Aircraft Fuel Supply for G20 Indonesia
TIMESINDONESIA, BALI – Pertamina Patra Niaga ensures that energy services and supplies during the 2022 G20 Indonesia Summit running safely and smoothly. Commercial and Trading Subholding of PT Pertamina (Persero) is committed to the success of the G20 Bali Summit which is attended by major world countries.
The Main Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga, Alfian Nasution stated that the supply, stock and facilities owned by Pertamina will run optimally during the G20 Summit.
The first is to ensure that all supply points, namely fuel terminals, LPG terminals and Aircraft Filling Depots (DPPU) are in optimal condition. Second, ensure stock at supply points and channeling institutions such as gas stations, LPG outlets, fishing gas stations, and Avtur stock is all safe . Third, prepare a Green Energy Station (GES) facility that offers Charging Station and Battery Swapping Station services.
Pertamina Patra Niaga will also serve the needs of plane fuel or commonly also known as Avtur for general passenger aircraft and aircraft for representatives of delegations of the G20 countries.
During G20, it is estimated that there will be an increase in aircraft fuel demand at Bali's Ngurah Rai Airport by around 3 percent. However, the peak of the increase of the demand is expected to occur on November 17, when all the world's leaders returning home. It was estimated the demand will increase up to 25 percent out of normal request.
"To ensure that Avtur needs are safe, we will add tankers and prioritize berthing and unloading for Avtur products. Arrangements for workers and adding to the fuel truck fleet will also be carried out," Alfian Nasution said.
Pertamina Patra Niaga will also coordinate closely with airlines, Angkasa Pura, TNI, POLRI, and Airnav to ensure the service process runs smoothly.
Furthermore, Pertamina Patra Niaga has also prepared Pertamina facilities and infrastructure for aircraft fuel services at several supporting airports for G20 Indonesia. Those airports were located around Bali, including Juanda Airport in Surabaya, Abdurahman Saleh Airport in Malang, Blimbingsari Banyuwangi Airport, Lombok Praya Airport and Komodo Airport. (*)
