IACAC, The Prestigious Event for ITN Malang People with Achievement

TIMESINDONESIA, MALANG – Institut Teknologi Nasional (ITN) Malang has their own way to respect their lecturer, staff or students who achieve something special.

As one of the superior campus in East Java, ITN Malang conduct an event called ITN Award of Creative Achievement and Competition.

"It is a competition based on the achievement - we dig it from lecturer, staff to students," said Head of Executive Commitee, Daim Tri Wahyono MSA in the event that held at Auditorium ITN, Thursday (18/5/2017).

He explains that the assessment is taken from every aspect. For example, the students is assessed by their studying period and the extracurricular activities. "The most standout nomination will be tested again with proposal," he add.

Daim said that the criteria uses in the assessment is the same used by Private Universities Coordinator (Kopertis). Thus, he hopes when Kopertis VII conduct the award for lecturers or students, ITN Malang is ready to send appropriate candidates from internal selection.

"So the leading result that achieved in the internal selection will be send later to Kopertis," he continued.

Daim who is also The Head of Quality Assurance Institution of ITN Malang, said that this kind of event is newly held this year, but it's planned to held annually.

IACAC also gives award to students winning various competition held by campus. "With the achievement habits, there is room and chance to create superior culture," Daim concluded. (*)
